Grooming
We all know the healthy benefits of a clear scalp and well-maintained hair: our dogs are no different. Good regular coat care is very important for dogs of all breeds, helping to support overall health, immunity and minimising skin irritation.
Our grooming service covers all aspects of coat maintenance for all breeds, whether a short-hair needing a wash, dry and de-shed, or a long-hair looking for a full cut and groom. All grooms include a thorough wash, dry, ear clean and nail trim. But keeping your dog in peak condition doesn’t stop at a wash and trim.
At Fur the Love of Dogs, all grooming services also include a 6-point health check as standard, examining your dog’s eyes, ears, nose, skin, coat, teeth and gums – all the main areas of concern that will tell you whether your pet is a happy-go-lucky chap or in need of some care and attention. We’ll reassure you about your dog’s general health, letting you know about any possible problems we uncover and offering advice on what to do next.
Teeth Cleaning
Teeth brushing can be an uncomfortable process – especially for dogs! And it’s often no picnic for their owners either. If teeth cleaning is a struggle for you and your pup, the Emmi-pet system may be the answer.
The Emmi-pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning system can give fantastic results without noise or vibration, leaving your dog’s mouth beautifully clean. Even long-standing plaque is no match for the Emmi-pet brush, keeping gums healthier and breath fresher. Used in partnership with the exclusive Emmi-pet toothpaste, it is a silent and non-invasive system that helps to care for the teeth of even the nerviest and most anxious of dogs.
Our Emmi-pet teeth cleaning service can be booked as a stand-alone treatment, or added to a full groom appointment.
Microchip Implanting
Your pet’s safety and security are paramount. We hope you never have cause to use it but, should your precious pet go missing, microchipping has an established success rate and has been proven to play a vital role in finding and returning lost or stolen animals to their rightful owners.
At Fur the Love of Dogs, our staff are fully trained by Peddy Mark to implant microchips for dogs, cats and smaller animals. We use high-quality microchips, linked to the animal tracker database, helping to reunite you with your lost pet should the worst happen.
